At Karpet, we offer the possibility to custom-make a rug inspired by a previous model or designed entirely with your preferences in mind. These pieces are woven entirely by hand, and each one is truly one of a kind.

1. Custom orders

• All custom rugs are made by hand and may show natural variations in color, size, and pattern.

• Please note that dimensions may vary by a few centimeters, as each piece is woven without the use of industrial machinery.

• While we strive to recreate models as faithfully as possible, no two rugs are ever exactly alike.

• Lead times vary depending on design and availability but usually range from 8 to 16 weeks.

2. Deposits & payments

• A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your custom order.
  The amount depends on the complexity and estimated value of the rug.

• The balance is due before shipment, once the rug is ready and approved via photos.

• Payment confirms that you agree with the final result as shown.

3. Returns & Exchanges for Custom-Made Rugs

Because custom-made rugs are crafted specifically for you, they are not eligible for a refund.
However, if you are not fully satisfied, you may choose to exchange the rug for:

• Another piece currently available in stock on our e-shop
or
• A new custom-made rug based on your updated preferences

Please note: Exchanges are only possible once and must be initiated within 14 days of delivery.

4. Modifications or cancellations

• After production begins, it is not possible to cancel or change the design, size, or colors.

• If you change your mind early in the process, please reach out quickly and we’ll do our best to accommodate — though we cannot guarantee changes after the rug is on the loom.

5. Quality & responsibility

• Each rug is inspected before shipping.

• Small irregularities in weave, color, or shape are part of the handmade nature of the product and not considered defects.

• In the unlikely case of major damage during shipping, please notify us immediately with photos so we can file a claim.
